Full-time Research Assistant to the Royal Danish Embassy in Moscow

The Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Department at the Royal Danish Embassy in Moscow is looking for a dynamic, analytical and flexible Research Assistant for a full-time job of 38 hours a week. 

Job profile

As Research Assistant, you will provide support to the projects carried out by the advisors in the department. The support spans across a wide range of tasks that includes, but is not limited to the following:


  • Input to projects, reports and briefings based on information searches and data extraction
  • Contact to Danish and Russian companies and authorities in order to gather information and plan activities
  • Help in organizing and executing Danish export promotion delegations to Russia
  • Prepare and participate in meetings (booking of meeting rooms, note taking, translation etc.)
  • Translation of documents
  • Wide range of ad-hoc assignments


The job as Research Assistant requires a person with a high degree of flexibility as the tasks varies greatly across a typical working day and will include both routine based administrative task as well as more operational project oriented tasks. The ideal person has:

  • Ability to plan and execute tasks according to deadlines provided by advisors
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyse information and data based on directions from export advisors
  • Very good working knowledge of MS tools (word, power point, excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Fluency in Russian is required.
  • Knowledge about and experience with the Food, Agriculture and Fisheries (FAF) sector is an advantage

In addition to working with many different types of tasks, you will also work closely with other advisors in the department and with other units of the embassy. We therefore expect you to have an open, receptive and easy-going personality.

About us

The Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Department is responsible for:


  • Market building and commercial advisory to Danish FAF-companies on how to grow their exports and investments in Russia
  • Relations to the Russian government and authorities on FAF-related issues
  • Market intelligence and reporting to key stakeholders in the Danish FAF-sector (e.g. ministries and business associations)
